This Privacy Policy describes how Veterans Hub Inc. collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Information we collect
a. Account data: email, phone, display name, profile photo.
b. Service data: branch, years served, rank, MOS, locations, units.
c. Verification documents you upload.
d. Content you post (messages, group posts, replies).
e. Device and usage data (app version, device type, crash reports).
2. How we use your information
• Verify your eligibility as a veteran.
• Power community features (matching, search, group chats, calls).
• Send you notifications you have opted into.
• Detect abuse, fraud, and policy violations.
• Improve the product via aggregated analytics.
3. Sharing
We never sell your data. We share it only with:
• Verification administrators reviewing your documents.
• Service providers (hosting, analytics, push notifications) under strict contracts.
• Law enforcement when legally required.
4. Your choices
• Update or delete your profile at any time.
• Control who can see your service details and location in Privacy settings.
• Export your data or delete your account from Settings.
5. Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest. Documents are stored in a restricted bucket accessible only to the verification team.
6. Minors
The service is not intended for anyone under 18.
7. International users
Data is stored in the United States. By using the app you consent to transfer and processing there.
8. Crisis
If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text the Veterans Crisis Line at 988 (press 1). Our team cannot respond to emergencies.
